I know we've been emailing but I thought I'd post an update as well. Everything's going strong after a year or so with my DC Power alt! As long as I have enough tension on the alternator belt, I see voltages in the 14's and low 15's at idle. The alternator varies voltage depending on temperature, load, etc. Purchasing was a PITA but it's been worth it. Before upgrading I would go through almost 1 battery per year. I tried an Optima Red Top, Interstate, and a couple Deka batteries. It turns out that my oem alternators were only supplying 12.5-13v at idle. Then the voltage regulator on one alternator cooked... Totally happy with my DC Power Alternator, 2 amps, underdrive crank pulley, and Maxima e-fans!
